KARACHI: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman Friday said that the famous “Roti, Kapda, aur Makan” (food, cloth, and shelter) slogan had miserably failed in Pakistan, Geo News reported.

He held a capacity crowd at “Islam Zindabad Conference” in absolute awe while giving the government a tongue-lash over the utter chaos the country was plunged in.

He said the nation needed to shake off dependency and work hard to earn self-reliance.

“Feudalism was a megalith of a hurdle in the middle of the road to economic growth”, said Fazl.

“It’s time we did away with this menace.”

Fazl said that Pakistan did not break the shackles of British colonialism to become a US minion, adding we need to be break free form this slavish dependence.

“ US should stop behaving as if it were our master”, said Fazl.

JUI-F leader went on to say that country’s religious community was being forced into militancy.

Fazl questioned as to why every bearded or turbaned person was thought to be an extremist?

Citing anti-Wall Street protests, he warned America to leave Pakistan alone and put its own house in order, which was on the verge of failure.

“ Capitalism, socialism, and all such isms are dying, adding we routed the socialists out of Afghanistan and now it was America’s turn to face a fate similar to former Soviet Union”, said Maulana Fazal-ur-Rahman.

He vowed to bring about an Islamic revolution to found an Islamic social welfare state in Pakistan.

He said if establishment stepped aside, JUI-F could clean sweep the national elections and come into power.
