MULTAN: Cable car will be installed at Fort Munro, the only hill station in South Punjab that is accessible by-road, to add value to the scenic spot and attract tourists there.

This was stated by managing director Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP) Saad S. Khan while addressing a ceremony organized to give a go-ahead signal to the cavalcade that marched on the city roads on Friday as part of TDCP's campaign to advertise its Feb 19 mega car sport event i.e the seventh Cholistan desert jeep rally to be held near Darawar Fort.

The schemes like installation of cable car or chair lift in South Punjab's scenic areas near Dera Ghazi Khan or organizing the car sport event in Bahawalpur were meant to provide quality recreational facilities to people and promote tourism among domestic tourists, Saad S Khan said.

He said many steps were being taken to promote tourism in the province. (APP)
