Blast near police van, no casualty

PESHAWAR: A police van was targetted with a remote controlled explosive device in Acheni Mera area in the outskirt of metropolis, police said on Friday.

The police were on routine patrolling in the area when a remote control device went off. However, the blast did not inflict any harm on police as their vehicle was at a safe distance at the time of blast.

The law enforcers soon after the blast cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
