LARKANA: Deputy Commissioner Larkana Abdul Aleem Lashari presided over a meeting regarding finalisation of arrangements for the celebration of Eid Milad-u-Nabi (Rabi-u Awal 12) in his office here Friday.

The meeting was also attended by SSP Larkana Eitzaz Ahmed Goraya, Wing Commander Shahbaz Rangers Lt. Col. Malik Mukhtiar.

The meeting reviewed and discussed ways for maintenance peace and tranquility during the processions of Eid Milad-u-Nabi in the District.

The meeting decided to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with religious fervour and enthusiasm throughout the district.

He urged the representatives of law enforcing agencies that all out efforts should be made to ensure proper law and order situation in the district and traffic arrangements may also be ensured on the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all the officials of TMAs to ensure the repair of roads and completion of patch work on the routes of procession of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace be Upon Him) and also ensure cleanliness and lighting on the occasion.

He also directed SESCO representative to ensure the supply of electricity on Rabi-ul-Awal 12, and the SESCO personnel would also accompany the processions for removing the wires interrupting the passage of procession.

Deputy Commissioner urged the ulema of all schools of thought and the people of every walk of life to play their role in this regard and create an atmosphere of brotherhood and unity on the occasion.

The ulema assured of their full cooperation in this regard. Concerned police officers were directed to maintain law and order during celebrations and to simplify the procedure of issuance of route permit in order to avoid any sort of misunderstanding.

The meeting also decided that hospitals will remain open, the staff and medicines may be ensured in the hospitals.

DCO Larkana also directed the service delivery offices including Health, SESCO, Police Force, Civil Defence, SSGC, TMAs of Larkana, Ratodero, Dokri and Bakrani to ensure proper arrangements on this occasion and detail of same may be sent to DC office Larkana.

The telephone wires and cables on the routes of processions would be properly maintained and the natural gas lines would also be maintained in a proper way.

The meeting was attended by all the concerned officers.
