Pillion-riding allowed in Karachi: Wassan

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan has lifted the ban on pillion-riding in the metropolis, Geo News reported.

According to an official handout, the minister said that he was aware that the ban on pillion riding was an inconvenience to the people, but he had no choice but to impose the ban after receiving intelligence reports about possible terrorist attacks on 12th Rabiaul Awwal rallies.

Wassan lauded the police, Rangers and scouts for their “outstanding performance” in maintaining law and order in the province. He also thanked religious parties and scholars as well as the general public for their cooperation.
