KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers Sindh arrested several workers of the Sunni Tehreek during a raid at the party’s headquarters in Karachi late Wednesday night.
Heavy contingent of paramilitary troops surrounded the ST headquarters before they conducted a search.
Shahid Ghori, a central leader of the religious outfit, confirmed some leaders and workers of the ST have been taken into custody.
“Rangers didn’t misbehave with us, and we will not support anybody involved in crimes,” he said.
He said that several ST workers had been killed and thousands of cases were launched against them.
