Three dacoits caught, tortured by citizens

MULTAN: The people overpowered three alleged robbers and subjected them to severe torture here on Thursday.

According to police, three alleged dacoits barged into house of Sher Muhammad resident of Rangeelpur when his family raised alarm.

After hearing hue and cry, the residents gathered there and overpowered two dacoits identified as Waheed and Aashique while their accomplice Faisal manage to flee. The people chased the outlaw and caught him from Qutabpur police area.

Later, the people tortured them severely and handed over two of the dacoits to Shah Shamas police while third one to Qutabpur police.

Police are investigating.
