Student killed in road accident

HAFIZABAD: An 8th class student of Jharianwala village was hit and killed by recklessly driven tractor-trolley on Vanike Road on Thursday morning.

According to police, Abu Bakr was going to take examination when the sand laden tractor-trolley (SAD-3571) hit him. He died on the spot. Tractor driver Arshad Kashmiri fled the scene.

Police have impounded the tractor-trolley. A case has been registered against the driver.

Later, the villagers blocked the road in protest by burning tyres against the killing of student.
