Policemen arrested for lifting bikes

QUETTA: A policeman, deployed at Zarghoonabad police station in Quetta, has been arrested for his involvement in lifting motorcycles.

According to police sources, the accused constable was involved in lifting bikes of citizens from different areas in connivance with a school student. The police took action when the said police constable and the school student lifted a motorcycle of a journalist working for an international media organization parked outside a commercial plaza at Almo Chowk on Airport Road.

Acting on a tip-off, a police party arrested the student from his house, who during interrogation revealed that he was working for a police constable. The police also arrested the said cop and recovered three stolen bikes from their possession. (APP)
