Library day at colleges on Feb 21

KARACHI: To foster the reading habit among the students, Library Day will be marked at the higher secondary schools and colleges in the metropolis on February 21.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), Prof. Anwar Ahmed Zai on Monday.

He pointed out that it was decided at the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) annual meeting held in Islamabad that library day will be marked every year.

Prof. Anwar Ahmed Zai said that directives to this effect have been issued to all the affiliated institutions of the BIEK.

The library day on February 21 be included in the annual programmes of the institutions, he added. (APP)
