FAISALABAD: Ghulam Muhammadabad Police arrested three accused on charge of acid throwing on four young girls.
Two days before, Kashif along with his accomplices, riding on motorcycles, allegedly threw acid on his cousin Uzam Bibi and his three colleagues Nadia (13), her sister Farha (18) and Nazia (20) near A-block Ghulam Muhammad Abad at Kashmir Road when the girls were coming out from a garments factory.
Kashif wanted marrying Uzma but her family refused to accept the proposal.
Over this issue the boy became infuriated and he took this step in retaliation due to which all the four girls received severe burn injuries at their faces, shoulders, arms and other parts of the bodies.
The accused after throwing acid managed to flee away from the scene while the girls were shifted to Allied Hospital where the doctors provided them medical treatment and discharged when their condition was recovered.
Police registered a case under section 324/34 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and 7 of Anti Terrorist Act (ATA) and started investigation by arresting Kashif and his two accomplices. (APP)
