LAHORE: Home Minister Punjab, Colonel (R) Shuja Khanzada Tuesday revealed that officials of the Zimbabwe cricket team were threatened by India’s intelligence agency RAW in Dubai, just before the tournament against Pakistan was supposed to start.

Khanzada claimed that officials including the manager were told by RAW that if the team travels to Pakistan for the cricket series, they will face dire consequences that can be compared to atrocities of Daish (IS).

The home minister went on to say that RAW as well as other external agencies are involved in several acts of terrorism.

He added that the excellent police security performance during the Pakistan-Zimbabwe series improved the country’s image.

Zimbabwe toured Pakistan on May 19 for three ODIs and two T20s.
