Pakistani TikTok star Hareem Shah took to Instagram to shun
"sectarian talks" circulating on social media after the Peshawar attack. She honoured the people who were killed in the Peshawar blast by calling them martyrs and said that they "died in the highest state of purity."
I am unwell, but this matter has to be addressed, said the TikTok sensation, who is often involved in controversies.
The video was posted a few days after an alleged suicide bombing took place in a mosque in Peshawar which claimed the lives of more than 60 people, while close to 200 others were left injured.
Shah claimed that after the attack, there were many talks on social media that were "insensitive to the gravity of the matter" since they focused on the sects of the victims more than the fact that they died in "the house of God."
"Who are we to say they were belonging to a particular sect?" she asked. "We do not know who is right and who is closer to God."
Disappointed in the judgments remarks people were passing for the victims, Shah said that "there is no humanity left in us."
Earlier in the day, Shahwas directed by the Sindh High Court (SHC) to appear before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) by April 18 in the alleged money-laundering probe.
The SHC issued the directive during a hearing of a money-laundering case against the TikTok star.
At the outset of the hearing, the counsel representing Shah submitted a medical report written in Turkish that showed that defendant of the case was unwell.
"My client is currently in Turkey and is unable to come back to Pakistan as doctors have suggested her to rest due to illness," the counsel informed the court.
The court adjourned the hearing while directing Shah to appear before the FIA by April 18.
