Sylhet record second successive win in BPL

DHAKA: Sylhet Royals recorded second consecutive victory in its nine matches in the Bangladesh Premier League here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Saturday.

Chasing 166 to win, Chittagong could manage 130 for eight losing the match by 35 runs.

Main scorers were Ziaur Rehman (400, Mahmudullah (30) and Nasir Jamshed (27).

Paceman Sohail Tanvir captured three wickets for 18..

Earlier, Chittagong Kings won the toss and put Sylhet Royals into bat who made 165 runs for three wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Peter Trego scored an unbeaten 68 from 53 balls with six fours and a six.where as Kamran Akmal also hit a half-century.

Kamran smashed four sixes and five boundaries in his 37-ball 53 while Scott Styris hit 29 with a six and two fours.
