Prince Harry will not be joining the Queen and other members of the royal family for grandfather Prince Philip's memorial service.

In a shocking statement, the Duke of Sussex left his family in UK disappointed yet again after revealing that he won't be attending the March event.

Harry’s statement read: “The Duke will not be returning to the UK in late March, but hopes to visit his grandmother as soon as possible.”

The statement added to Harry's previous claims of feeling "unsafe" since he lost his personal security following his move to the US with wife, Meghan Markle.

Senior aides now reveal that Harry did not give the Queen much notice of his decision.

As per The Sun, the 95-year-old monarch was only given 15-minutes to respond to the news before younger grandson went on to make the official announcement.

Angela Levin, Harry’s biographer, shares how Harry's decision is damaging to the Firm.

“He has snubbed the Duke of Edinburgh but really he is snubbing the Queen.”

She went on: “He has got this all wrong. If he comes over for a royal event he gets police protection. What they won’t do is, if he goes out with his friends he gets security.”

"Experts previously claimed Harry would have been given 'adequate' protection for the March 29 event in Westminster Abbey, and during his stay in Windsor," adds Mirror.co.uk.
