FAISALABAD: Two persons including a minor girl were killed in two different incidents of jubilant firing here during last 24 hours.

According to Ghulam Muhammad Abad police, Malik Irfan resident of Muhammadi Chowk arranged Rasm-e-Mehndi in connection of his wedding ceremony during which some guests started aerial firing to celebrate it.

During firing, a stray bullet hit 8-year-old Asma daughter of Muhammad Siddique and injured her face severely.

The girl was shifted to Allied Hospital where she succumbed to the injuries.

Police registered a case and took many people from the wedding ceremony into its custody and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old youth Muhammad was also killed when his own pistol bullet hit him while resorting to aerial firing in a Mehndi Function in Ghartal, the area of Sahianwala police station.

Police also took his body into its custody while further investigation is under progress. (APP)
