KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has revealed that the board is working to expand the Pakistan Super League (PSL) into a competition large enough to rival the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL), as well as transforming a struggling national women's team into a winning unit,The News reported.
Ramiz Raja has been sharing big plans for Pakistan cricket since assuming the chairmanship of the PCB.
On Monday, as the Pakistan's team succumbed to an Australian attack at the National Stadium, the former Pakistan captain outlined yet another set of ambitious objectives.
Ramiz confidently spoke at the National Stadium about hosting top-tier teams such as Australia and England in triangular events, expanding the PSL into a competition large enough to rival the IPL, and rebuilding a failing national women's team into a successful unit.
He also announced intentions to transform Pakistan's cricketing landscape through the addition of world-class pitches, international coaches, and state-of-the-art facilities.
