TMA confiscates 518 tyres, fines shopkeepers

RAWALPINDI: The Tehsil Municipal Administration on Monday confiscated 518 tyres to help check spread of dengue virus here.

The operation was launched on the directives of Administrator Saif Anwar Jappa.

During the operation, TMA fined shopkeepers and confiscated 518 tyres.The operation was carried out on Jamia Masjid Road, Ganjmandi, Tyre Bazaar, Sadiqabad,Muslim Town, Satellite Town, Saidpur and Pirwadhi roads and the other localities.

The Administrator urged shopkeepers cooperate with the administration and take preventive measures to deal with the killer disease.

He said that strict action would be taken against those violating rule of law.
