MULTAN: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani inaugurated development schemes worth Rs 860 million besides laying foundation stone of a Rs 810 million road project here on Saturday.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of 23 kilometre long road scheme from fertilizers factory to Pul Khadal which would be completed at a cost of Rs 810 million.

Prime Minister, Gilani inaugurated North zone sewerage scheme which was completed at a cost of Rs 354 million, Rs 213 million road scheme from fertilizers factory to old bypass via vegetables market, and Rs11.7 million water supply scheme for two villages including Basti Thaheem Wali and Basti Jhand Wali.

Another water supply and sewerage scheme worth Rs18.5 million was also inaugurated by the Prime Minister that would benefit rural population of 10 villages in Matti Tal and surroundings.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated Rs252 million water supply and sewerage scheme and another Rs10.9 million rural water supply scheme for Moza Ghariala.

He said that road scheme worth Rs810 million would benefit rural populace of 22 Mozas.

Prime Minister Gilani said that the electrification and gas supply schemes would be completed on priority and more schemes would be launched in areas where these facilities were missing to benefit the people. (APP)
