HYDERABAD: The Acting Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Dr Parveen Shah on Friday presided over a meeting to discuss the ways and means for improvement of law and order at the campus.

The meeting which also attended among others by Pro Vice Chancellors of Sindh Universitys Campuses Dadu and Mirpurkhas, Registrar Dr. Raja Muhammad Ilyas, Director Finance Mushtaq Ali Memon, Director Planning and Development Sajid Qayoom Memon and Incharge Director Campus Security Ghulam Nabi Kaka discussed various measures to improve law and order and ensure strict security at the campus on sustainable grounds.

The meeting also finalized routes for the universitys' vehicles as well as private vehicles in view of security measures at internal and external points of the campus.

The meeting decided to allow universitys' vehicles as well as vehicles of faculty and staff only from Bab-ul-Islam Gate of Vice Chancellors' Road.

It further decided that main road of the university (Sindhology Road) will be opened for private vehicles which included the vehicles of students and visitors and their parking will be near of Allama I.I. Kazi Chowk.

The meeting also decided that shuttle points will be plied from Zero Point and from Sir Haji Abdullah Haroon Road (Station Road) to facilitate the visitors and students.

It further decided to hire the private security guards for deployment at the main entrances of the campus for which bids will be invited from the private security companies.

The meeting decided to ensure strict security system at the campus so that peaceful academic atmosphere could be ensured out at the campus. (APP)
