MULTAN: Punjab Chief Secretary Nasir Mehmood Khosa on Friday ordered DCOs of three districts to get 9000 students admitted to government schools who are set to pass out from non-formal schools next month after completing basic education.
The Chief Secretary issued these orders in a meeting here.
Commissioner Khurram Agha briefed him about development schemes, education, revenue collection, eviction of Qabza groups from state land and other matters.
He was informed that the non-formal school project would conclude next month and the 9000 students who would pass out in three districts including Multan, Vehari and Khanewal, must be got admitted to government schools for continuity of their education to save their future.
Chief secretary ordered DCOs that matter regarding admissions of 9000 students must be taken up on priority.
He ordered DCOs to meet development targets within specified period and speed up work. He also sought recovery of revenue, retrieval of state land from illegal occupants. (APP)
