One dies, two injured in Maripur Road accident

KARACHI: A man died and two others got injured in road accident near Syed Ali Sarmast Shrine, Mauripur on Saturday, rescue sources said.

They said a speeding trailer hit three persons riding a bike at the location. Resultantly one Zahir, 28, son of Iqbal died on the spot whereas Raja, 44, and Sohail, 23, got injured. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.

The driver of the trailer fled from the scene.

It is pertinent to mention that Sindh Home Ministry and Commissioner Karachi have barred heavy vehicles to travel through the city from 7 am till 11 pm. However, many people have lost their lives due to road accidents caused by heavy vehicle movement.
