KARACHI: Separates incidents of firing in different parts of the city have left two men dead and five others wounded, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to police, two men sustained injuries when two groups of shopkeepers traded fire in Empress Market, Saddar. Heavy contingent of police arrived at the scene to control the situation.

The incident sent a wave of panic across the market, forcing shops and businesses to pull down shutters.

Another incident of firing occurred in Mauripur area where armed assailants gunned down a man.

In Madina colony, Korangi a 25-year old adult was fired at and critically injured. He later succumbed to his wounds and breathed his last.

A youth was hurt in Landhi as a result of firing while in North Karachi a similar incident of firing injured another man.
