RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 40 outlaws including 19 gamblers and two dacoits from various areas of the city.
Cops recovered 1765 grams charas, 57 bottles of liquor, four pistols 30 bor with 14 rounds, 500 kites, 110 grams heroin and cash Rs 28,185 and seven mobile phones from them.
According to a police spokesman, 40 lawbreakers were held in different raids by Rawalpindi police.
Wah Cantt police on a tip-off raided a gambling den and arrested nine gamblers and recovered cash Rs 14,985 and two mobile phones.
In another raid Saddar Wah Cantt police arrested 10 gamblers and recovered cash Rs 3200, five mobile phones and two costly watches.
Meanwhile, Kotli Satian police held two dacoits and recovered stolen costly items including three gold ear rings sets and cash Rs 10,000.
Separate cases have been registered against all the accused and investigation is underway. (APP)
