Enthusiastic restaurant owner and chef found unique way to celebrate 61st anniversary of first-ever human space flight

An enthusiastic restaurant owner found a unique way to celebrate the61st anniversary of the first-ever human space flight.

On April 12, 1961,Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was the first-ever human in space.

The restaurant owner set the kebab on a tray and tied it to a parachute. He also attached a GoPro camera with it.

This kebab space flight mission had a Turkish flag with it as well.

"It cannot be launched without the Turkish flag," said the man.

The kebab, tied to a large helium balloon, continued its journey to an altitude of 25 miles. It soon landed in a sea off of Turkey's southern coast.

TRT World reported that Yasar Aydin, who is a chef, had teamed up with space engineering student, Idris Albayrak, to turn his dream into reality.
