RAWALPINDI: On the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Rawalpindi police arrested the killer of two sisters here on Monday.

The Inspector General of Punjab Police (IGP) constituted a three-member team on Sunday to arrest the suspected killer of Shahjahan Begum's two daughters.

Giving details, Station House Officer (SHO) Civil Lines Raja Shakeel said that the accused namely Asad was arrested from Dhamyial Camp Kohta Kalan in the morning.

Two real sisters were shot dead and the third one was injured when Asad opened indiscriminate firing at a private girls' hostel in Lalkurti area of the city.

According to details, the three sisters, Saira, Saima and Sobia, were running a girls' hostel to earn their livelihood. A man, identified as Asad, wished to marry one of the sisters, but she had refused the proposal.

The accused had fled from the scene after committing the crime.

Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Azhar Hammed Khokar has announced Rs 10,000 reward for the Station House Officer (SHO) along with a special certificate. (APP)
