Reopening of the Consulate General of India in Karachi could be looked at in the future: Sabharwal

NAUDERO: The Indian High Commissioner, Mr. Sharat Sabharwal visited Garhi Khuda Baksh, Sukkur and Mohenjodaro on Tuesday.

During the visit he was asked by the media when the Consulate General of India in Karachi would be opened. He responded that the reopening of the Consulate General of India in Karachi could be looked at in the future, as the bilateral dialogue progresses.

The High Commissioner added that in order to facilitate visa services to the people of the region, courier services of local companies are being availed so that applicants from Sindh do not have to travel to Islamabad to submit their visa applications.
