ISLAMABAD/LONDON: Husain Haqqani has persuaded Zahid Bukhari to continue as his lawyer and represent him in front of the judicial commission probing the memo scandal.

Earlier Bukhari had announced that he would boycott proceedings of the memo commission and not serve as Haqqani’s lawyer.

Earlier during his cross-examination of Mansoor Ijaz on Friday, Bukhari had been asked by Justice Esa repeatedly to keep his questions focused on the issue at hand. This prompted Bukhari to announce that he would no longer be representing Husain Haqqani under these circumstances.

The head of the judicial commission Justice Esa told Bukhari that if he had a problem with him then the proceedings could still continue in front of the other two judges.
