NEPRA approves Rs 6.39 per unit raise in power tariff

ISLAMABAD: NEPRA has approved an Rs 6.39 per unit raise in the power tariff under fuel adjustment.

A public meeting was held under the NEPRA vice chairman. NEPRA approved an increase of Rs2.22 per unit October 2011; Rs1.27 per unit for November 2011; Rs0.94 per unit for December 2011 and Rs1.96 per unit for January 2012.

A notification regarding the increase will be issued by NEPRA later.
