FAISALABAD: A scuffle incident occurred between a civil judge Syed Azhar Husain Jaafari and a junior lawyer Muhsan Nabeel Awan Advocate here forced the entire additional session judges and civil judges to boycott their judicial work against the indecent attitude of the lawyer.

The incident cropped up when Muhsan Nabeel Awan Advocate who is a junior of former Secretary of District Bar Association (DBA) Farrukh Gulzar Awan Advocate, appeared before civil judge Syed Azhar Husain Jaafari in a bail application of an accused of a robbery case.

Advocate Muhsan Nabeel Awan insisted to the Civil Judge Syed Azhar Zaafari to take up his client's case out of turn. The judge, however, told him that he would take up the case as per roster and also senior lawyers are already sitting in the court for their turn.

On this, Muhsan Nabeel Awan Advocate argued that he should be given priority as he has to be appeared in another court. However, the Civil Judge Syed Azhar reportedly declined to oblige him.

This issue took serious turn when the advocate shouted at the Judge and also allegedly used abusive language and threatened him for dire consequences.

When the staff of Civil Judge including Naib Muharrar and others tried to intervene, the lawyer allegedly made punches and also torn their clothes.

The lawyer also made an attempt to attack the Civil Judge, told that eye witnesses present in the court.

Finally, the Civil Judge Syed Azhar Husain Zaafari took up the bail application and after hearing arguments rejected the bail.

On the announcement of rejection of bail, Advocate Muhsan Nabeel Awan became infuriated and he climbed up the dice and manhandled the Civil Judge besides abusing him.

The staff of the Civil Judge and other lawyers present in the court after hectic efforts succeeded in whisking away the angry lawyer.

The accused lawyer was handed over to the police but however a number of other lawyers who assembled there pushed the police away and succeeded in freeing the aggressive junior lawyer from the police custody. (APP)
