President announces Rs1mn for late journalist's family

LAHORE: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday announced financial assistance of Rs one million for the family of the late senior journalist Hamid Javed.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan visited the residence of the late Hamid Javed and conveyed condolences of President Asif Ali Zardari to widow Ms Fauzia Hamid.

The Minister announced financial assistance of Rs one million on behalf of the President. (APP)
