8 dead in Shaikhupura bus accident

SHAIKHUPURA: Eight people were killed and dozens others suffered injuries when a speeding bus overturned on Safdarabad road, Geo News reported Monday.

According to Shaikhupura police, the passenger bus, travelling from Sangla to Lahore, tried to negotiate a turn in fast speed and overturned on Safdarabad road. As a result, 8 people perished while dozens sustained wounds, including three students.

Police said among the injured many were in critical condition, fearing the number of casualties could soar.
