KARACHI: A man was gunned down in an armed attack in the Nazimabad police limits on Monday.Asghar Hussain, 38, was shot dead when unidentified people riding a motorcycle intercepted his Suzuki Cultus near Eidgah situated in Nazimabad No 6 while he was returning home. The armed men after the incident managed to flee from the scene.

His body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. The MLO said that Hussain suffered four bullet wounds. The police also found empties of a 9mm pistol from the spot which they sent to the Sindh Police Lab for forensic tests.

According to the police Hussain was the manager of Daimand CNG Pump. Police also claimed that Hussain was targeted.

He lived in the Surjani Town police jurisdiction.Meanwhile, a decomposed body of an unidentified 55-year-old man was found in the bushes near the Baloch Football Ground in the Sukkun police area. Some area people informed the police who shifted the body to the JPMC for legal formalities.

The MLO JPMC said that the body was at least three days old and he was killed with a sharp edged weapon. According to the police the deceased was a drug addict and was killed by another drug addict.
