ISLAMABAD: Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai contacted Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani via telephone, inviting him for visit to Kabul, sources said on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the Afghanistan President also expressed concern over emergency landing of PM Gilani's plane on Tuesday.

Sources said that Karzai extended invitation to the Prime Minister to visit Kabul saying that the weather of Kabul has become considerably pleasant.

The Prime Minister accepted the invitation and said that he would soon visit Afghan Capital. "We would also review the progress made toward political reconciliation in the context of the last bilateral meeting held in Islamabad," the Prime Minister said.
