Beggary rife in Lahore

LAHORE: Despite strict warning of the Punajb chief minister, beggars continue to irk citizens in the provincial metropolis.

Beggars, a majority of them able-bodied, can be seen at traffic signals and crossings. In bazaars, buyers are bound to have frequent encounters with them. Shadman, Chowk Chouburji, Garhi Shahu, MAO College, Ichhra, Anarkali, Chowk Data Darbar, Niazi Chowk etc are their favorite spots.

When contacted, a police officer told APP that traffic wardens had been ordered to remove beggars from traffic signals and roads throughout the city.
