FAISALABAD: SSP Operation Sadiq Dogar claimed on Friday the crime ratio in Faisalabad had reduced due to five real police encounters occurred during last one month.

Addressing a press conference in Batala Colony police station here, he said, when blind murders occur and police fail to trace the accused, this situation encourages the criminals who commit offences with impunity.

He said that crime trend in Faisalabad was increasing rapidly but five real police encounters helped to reduce this trend.

The SSP Operation also produced the accused of dacoity cum murder case, before the media and told that these accused looted a couple at their doorstep and shot dead the lady when she produced resistance in the dacoity.

The couple was returning home after receiving payment of their sold house when the accused commited offense with them in the area of D-Type Colony police station, he said and added that the police also recovered weapons, looted cash and mobile phones from their possession.
