ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have busted two gangs of dacoits besides arresting five other persons from various areas or the city and recovered weapons, 1.060 kilogram hashish and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Monday.
On a tip off, Golra police raided at the hideout of dacoits and arrested a total of three persons Haider Ali s/o Khursheed, Sajid s/o Jehangir, Ali s/o Khursheed. Police team also recovered weapons and knives from their possession.
Likewise, Kohsar police arrested two dacoits Shan Masih and Tariq Masih besides recovering two 30 bore pistols from their possession.
Anti-Car Lifting Cell arrested an auto-thief Abuzar Ghaffari during the special checking at `Jhungi Syedan' and impounded the vehicle driven by him as `jammer system' was installed in it. His two other accomplices managed to escape and police is searching for them.
Sabzi Mandi police nabbed Khalid Mehmud for possessing 1.060 gram hashish while an accused Temur Khan was arrested by CIA police in possession of 450 gram hashish.
Bani Gala police apprehended Maroof Shah in possession of 210 gram hashish.
Ramna police arrested a thief Niaz Ali and recovered stolen items worth Rs. 40,000 from his possession. (APP)
