Young man shot dead

KARACHI: A young man was shot dead by unidentified armed men near Al-Asif Squire, Sohrab Goth area late Thursday, police said.

The deceased Usman Ali, 18, son of Nawaz Khan, resident of Hassan Nauman Colony was brutally injured when unknown person opened fire on him near his home within the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth police station, a duty officer Hussain Bakhsh told.

The injured was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.

The police registered a case number 357/2012 under section 302/34 of PPC and started further probe. (PPI)
