Gilani won with a margin of around 20,000 votes
MULTAN: PPP's Ali Musa Gilani, son of party's leader and former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, won the NA-157 Multan-IV by-election with 79,743 votes, beating Meharbano Qureshi — daughter of PTI leader and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi — on Sunday, according to unofficial results.
Qureshi bagged 59,993 votes, leaving an upset for PTI on losing the coveted Multan constituency — known to have been a hot seat of political rivalry between the Gilani and Qureshi clan.
