G8 urges Iran to seize opportunity of Baghdad nuclear talks

CAMP DAVID, Maryland: G8 leaders on Saturday pressed Tehran to seize the chance to prove its nuclear program is nothing but peaceful.

“We call on Iran to seize the opportunity that began in Istanbul, and sustain this opening in Baghdad by engaging in detailed discussions about near-term, concrete steps … towards a comprehensive negotiated solution which restores international confidence that Iran’s nuclear program is exclusively peaceful,” Group of Eight leaders said in their final Camp David Declaration.
