One killed, 4 injured as bomb goes off in Nowshehra

NOWSHEHRA: An improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the Shirin Gothay area of Nowshehra killed one securityman and injured four others, Geo News reported on Sunday.

The area was cordoned off after the blast, which police said was remote-controlled.

Police sources further said that the bomb disposal squad had also been engaged in case there was more than one explosive device planted by the perpetrators.

The dead and the injured were moved to the district headquarter hospital.
