LHC disposes of petition against Yellow Cab scheme

LAHORE: Lahore High Court on Monday disposed of a writ petition filed against non-provision of Yellow cab taxi under the Punjab government’s scheme.

Petitioner Nawab Din, who moved court against Punjab government, submitted his fulfilled all requirements to get a yellow cab taxi under the Punjab Chief Minister’s employment scheme, but officials concerned were not providing him with the vehicle.

His counsel stated petitioner stood eligible to benefit from the government scheme aimed at providing employment to unemployed citizens, and sought direction for the official concerned to provide taxi to petitioner.

Disposing of his petition, Justice Umer Ata Bandial directed petitioner to approached concerned authority formed to address public grievances in this regard. (PPI)
