ISLAMABAD: The electricity shortfall in the country on Friday reduced to 4,787 MW from 6,400 MW as the total generation was recorded as 12,255 MW against the demand of 17,042 MW during the last 24 hours.

According to the report on daily power generation and load-management position, the hydel generation stood at 4,503 MW, WAPDA thermal 1,522 MW and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 6,230 MW.

As many as 690 MW was supplied to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), the report added. (APP)
