15 dead after suicide blast at Nigeria church

LAGOS: A suicide bomber who tried to drive an explosives-packed car into a church in northern Nigeria on Sunday killed 15 people and injured 40, the emergency service in Bauchi State said.

Following the bomb blast in Bauchi city, "the emergency operation team rushed to the scene for the rescue operation. The team evacuated the victims; 40 persons were injured while 15 were dead," the State Emergency Management Agency said in a statement received by AFP in Lagos. (AFP)
