Robber among three killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Three persons including a robber were killed while three others were wounded by unknown gunmen in different areas of the city on Thursday, Geo News reported.

According to sources, unidentified attackers killed a member of banned outfit in Liaqatabad who was identified as Mohammad Shoaib. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Two other men were also injured in the firing in the same incident.

A cloth merchant, Shams was shot dead by armed miscreants riding a motorcycle in Bolton Market while a security guard of a nearby bank also sustained injuries.

On the other hand, a robber was killed by a guard when he along with an aide entered the milk shop.

Witnesses told that two dacoits had entered the shop to attempt a robbery when the guard opened fire on them, killing one robber while the other managed to escape from the scene.

Contrarily, police claimed that they killed the robber in an encounter while the other escaped.
