PPP reviews post-SC verdict situation

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of Central Executive Committee (CEC) of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) is in progress at the Presidency to review the post-Supreme Court verdict situation, Geo News reported.

The meeting is being chaired by President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also present in the meeting.

The SC is seized with identical petitions challenging NA Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza's rulings not to send a reference for the prime minister's disqualification to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The apex court will announce the short order of the case today.
