ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan said the disqualification of former Prime Minister Gilani was a victory for the constitution and law.

However according to Khan the problem would not be solved with a new prime minister and early elections were the only solution.

During a news conference the PTI chairman further said that the judiciary had fulfilled its obligation by ensuring the supremacy of law. When asked about the memogate scandal, Khan replied that the involvement of Husain Haqqani had been proven and now it remained to be seen what role was played by President Zardari.

Imran Khan also announced that his party would launch a protest movement against inflation and loadshedding from Faisalabad on June 27.
