KMC workers demand payment of dues

KARACHI: The CBA Sajjan Union of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has expressed disappointment over non-inclusion of any welfare scheme for more than 26,000 of its employees by the management and demanded establishment of KMC foundation for disbursing welfare funds.

In a statement, CBA leaders said Rs5 were being deducted from workers salaries since 1999, however no criteria were devised to utilize the collected money. They said no residential units had been established for KMC workers.

They demanded that concerns of KMC workers should immediately be addressed and removed.
