ISLAMABAD: Attorney General Irfan Qadir said Thursday that the government would make a decision according to the constitution.
Speaking to mediamen outside the Supreme Court here, Qadir said both the government and court wanted to act according to the constitution, “thus there should be no confrontation.”
Earlier, during proceedings of the NRO implementation case, the Attorney General Qadir had informed the court that a decision regarding writing the letter to Swiss authorities would be made after the federal cabinet deliberated on the issue. Qadir further said the cabinet would make its decision after it had received the summary from the Law Ministry.
In its order in the case, the Supreme Court has directed Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to write the letter to Swiss authorities and submit a compliance report by July 25.
