LAHORE: CNG filling stations of Lahore, Gujranwala and Sahiwal regions remained closed on Tuesday, posing problems for passengers.

People suffered due to hot weather as they had to wait for public transport for hours to reach their destinations.

Thin traffic was seen in the provincial metropolis due to the weekly closer of CNG stations. However, in the absence of normal public transport, LPG-fuelled tri-wheelers were seen busy on the roads.

Due to poor arrangements of the provincial government, a large number of vans and buses stayed off the road which created problems for commuters.

Inter-city routes were also affected due to the CNG stations closure. Commuters had to pay extra fares to reach their destinations. (APP)
